History of MAMAT
History of MAMAT
From a single cybersecurity job to a universal compliance-ready backbone
200X — The Spark
It began during a high-stakes cybersecurity engagement for an oil company’s sprawling OT infrastructure in Russia. Our founder, seeing the chaos of spreadsheets, fragmented logs, scattered device lists, and undocumented changes — realized this was not just an IT problem. It was a structural problem.
There was no tool designed to track every asset, every task, every record across IT and OT — much less provide audit-grade traceability.
That gap became MAMAT’s founding mission.
200X+1 — Building the First Version
With deep experience in data communications, industrial automation, and cybersecurity, the founding core wrote the first version of what would become MAMAT: a local, password-protected database app to manage devices, maintenance tasks, updates, compliance checks, and change history — all in one place.
MAMAT’s minimalist philosophy took shape early: no cloud lock-in, no bloated SaaS overhead, just structure, traceability, and control.
200X+2 — First Deployments: IT & OT Use Cases
Organizations managing mixed environments — from corporate networks to factory PLC lines — adopted MAMAT for:
- equipment inventories,
- maintenance scheduling,
- patch & update tracking, and
- compliance checks against internal or industry cybersecurity standards.
MAMAT’s value became clear: less chaos, more control, fewer emergencies.
200X+3 — Demand Emerged from New Verticals
As regulatory pressure, audit expectations, and compliance complexity grew, clients started using MAMAT beyond traditional IT/OT — in manufacturing, maritime/offshore, industrial automation, and even early-stage medical device companies needing equipment and process traceability.
These early adopters recognized MAMAT’s potential: it wasn’t just a maintenance tool — it was a compliance backbone.
2023–2024 — Pivot: Build for Compliance & Regulated Industries
We realized that many small companies, especially in regulated sectors, needed a solution to help them meet heavy standards requirements (device history, risk management, audit readiness) — but they lacked the resources to build a full QMS from scratch.
So we began expanding MAMAT’s architecture:
added support for document control, record control, audit-grade evidence storage, task-based compliance tracking
built abstractions to support multiple standards simultaneously (cybersecurity frameworks, industrial safety, medical device quality systems)
MAMAT transformed from “maintenance software” into a universal asset + task + compliance engine.
2025 — MAMAT Today: Multi-Industry Foundation, Compliance-Ready, Customer-Focused
Trusted by organizations in IT, OT, industrial, maritime/offshore, manufacturing, medical device, and regulated sectors
Handles everything from device inventories to calibration logs, audit reports, supplier records, training logs, and risk mitigation evidence
Built with small teams in mind — ideal for startups, SMBs, and medium enterprises needing audit-grade compliance without large QA departments
Deployed either on-premises or hosted — giving maximum flexibility, security, and control
MAMAT has become the backbone for compliance, safety, maintenance, and evidence — across environments.
Our Philosophy: Control, Visibility, Accountability
From day one, MAMAT stood for:
- Transparency: every change, every asset, every task — logged and retrievable.
- Security: no lock-in, no hidden cloud dependencies unless the user opts in.
- Flexibility: adapt to any standard, any industry, any scale.
- Pragmatism: built for real teams with real constraints — small headcount, limited budget, heavy responsibilities.
That philosophy drives every feature, every update, every support ticket.

Join the Journey
We believe compliance, safety, and operational control should not be the privilege of large enterprises — but the standard for every serious organization, no matter its size.
If you’re tired of spreadsheets, scattered documents, and fragmented compliance tools — MAMAT is the backbone you’ve been missing.
